Best Answer: You’ve probably already tried this, but just in case, disconnect and turn off the printer. Reboot, then turn on the printer, then plug into the USB. The PC ought to detect it.
Good luck.

  • Have a look into the USB Driver / System…

This error can be produced by various methods, Such things as long cables / low power supply from cable.

One of the common ones is the driver becomes corrupt and will require been re-installed again… But does not always work..

If that does not do it then you will need to start to google it & find out about the registry settings that will force windows to reload / re-find it’s usb drivers.

One trick is to disable one by one the usb Hubs / controllers in the “Devices Manager” . If you find the one in question, You device will be detected with in a few seconds & installed… One know side i have seen is the deviced being used as a usb 1.0….

If you install the printer on another computer & it works fine then this will be more then likely the path to go down.

A windows restore should’nt need to go back further then the just before the problem first happend, You can try using the windows cd and using the “r” repair option **NOT The Recovery Console**

  • Make sure the printer is on. If that doesn’t help call the manufacturer’s help line.
  • check both ends of the usb cord specially the one in your printer, then the one in your computer. if you did all that
try installing your printer again, but first uninstalled the software and then installe it again.
if that does not work, there there is always windows restore. it should help.
if your problem started happening recently, you should be able to just re store your computer to a previous setting.
all programs, accessories, system tools, and system restore. and choose a date at least two days before your problem started happening.
