Canon Printer Tips – I just changed my ink and the printer says to check printer head. Now it won’t do anything?

I changed all the ink cartridges and all that comes up on my printer screen is to check printer head. I took it out and looked at it and then put back in, but still nothing. I have a cannon multipass f60 printer.

Best Answer: It sounds like the printer head hardware itself is damaged. Turn the printer off completely, take out the cartridges, turn it back on without them in, wait until it does its thing, then put them in. Hope this works. If not, I hope its still under warranty. It may be damaged beyond repair.

  • Just guessing, but try cleaning the contacts on all the cartridges, make sure you have installed them correctly and reset the printer if necessary by turning it off for a few seconds. Your manual probably includes a troubleshooting guide or you can also go to the Cannon site and seek help there.
  • Make sure to use original cartridge for the printer ( if is Brother, use the same brand ink), sometime when people use refill cartridges this problem always happend
