Canon Printer Tips – Best printer for pc between $100 $175 which prints, copy, scans, and fax?

February 11th, 2010 No comments

I have looked at HP5610 and Cannon

Best Answer: I just bought a brand new Lexmark mark all in one for $50.00 from e_bestdealforyou.com on e-bay. It is model 1185 and it prints scans copies and faxes. Love it!!

  • the wireless HP it’s a multi function printer
    and is $175
  • They’re all so cheap now and the quality doesn’t vary that much for most purposes. I would take a look at the cost of the printer cartridges for the particular printer, and whether or not it takes both black and colour cartridges at the same time. One that only takes colour will go through the ink much faster because it uses all the colours to make black. I believe that Canon makes a model where the replacement cartridges are only $30 a pair while most other cartridges cost between $40 and $60. Since, in the long run, that’s where you will be spending most of your money, I’d look into that.
  • consider Dell AIO printers
    go dell.com and order online
  • HP 2610 all in one – need to catch it on sale

    good luck

  • also check out the hp1610…
and you can visit the website below for a price guide…
  • hp pcs2315, even works well with recycled print cartridges a lot cheaper in the long run
  • The Lexmark X7170 All-in-One is a great printer, copier, scanner and fax machine. Right now, lexmark.com is having a sale. The printer is $149 with free shipping. Check it out!

  • you should look into the eperson. i am using a lexmark which is a good one but , the eperson is my next it dose all the above , and more like printing DVD labels
  • I personally have a Hp printer. Try the hp printer which has the print, scan, copy and fax options. I am sure it is less than 175 pounds.
  • Brother MFC 210. The cartridges are high capacity and relatively inexpensive to replace.

i am not sure if it is called that put likes like kind of plastic and thin like a paper for the overhead projector. i need it for school project. can you guys tell me if it will work on a cannon

Best Answer: The overhead paper is called a transparency.

Yes you can print on the transparencies providing you buy INKJET printable transparencies. They should be available at any office supply store. Just make sure you get the type which are inkjet printable., otherwise the ink will not dry.

  • yes it will work, but be very careful the ink takes a while to dry, and you should avoid touching it or rubbing into it for a short while. Good luck
  • Just try one print if you are successful then you can print whole project.

Canon Printer Tips – My Lexmark1100 printer needs replacing-my ? is, will other brands work with my new Hewert Packard computer?

My Consumer’s Report monthly issues are my bible to buying items because they take no advertizement and tell it like it is on any item from cars to best decaf coffee brands.

I am stymied about whether any printer works with any brand of computer. If so, what do you recommend and how happy or miserable are you with it and I will compare it with the current C.Report issue and get on the internet to order it and if your ans. is chosen best-you know what you get! C.R. picks as best all-in-on inkjets: Cannon Pixma MP810 and 830 and 600. Also the HP photosmart C5180 and Officejet Pro L7580.

My criteria is that the photos print out beautifully, among other requirements.

What is yours, rate it and would you recommend it. Thanks for your responses.

Best Answer: I like the HP 8000 series. They have good quality output, individual ink tanks, and a built in 4X6 photo paper tray. From what I have read the new Kodaks have nice output. Any decent printer will work with any computer. It is just a matter of loading the correct drivers which normally come with the printers. You are correct about Consumer Reports not accepting advertising, but they have steered me off course more than once. Don’t get totally locked in to the opinion of one or two writers. CNET has good reviews of electronics and offers users comments as well.

  • Consider this as a possible soulution. I have a “Continuous Ink Supply System” (search term) on my Epson. Cuts cartridge costs (from £5 to 40 pence…) Works beautifully, and so cheap.

Canon Printer Tips – Wireless prining?

January 5th, 2010 No comments

I have a dell insperon 5100 runing xp. mac Power pc mac os 9
and dell insperon 5100. Also cannon mp600 printer hookes up to mac.

how do i wirelesly print?

Best Answer: Unless you have a very clever wireless switch, the printer must be attached to one of the computers. That computer can “share” the printer so that the wieless computers can hook to it. All the devices must be part of the same network. You may have to use Samba to print from the MAC.

  • Are both computers hooked up to a wireless router, and do you have wireless adapters in both computers? (either built-in or add-on)

Assuming you do, and assuming the computers are already set up with the router, you need to set up a home network between computers. You may have already done so, and if that is the case, you may skip ahead a bit. Both computers have to be connected under the same workgroup, (e.g. MSHOME) which can be accomplished through the “Set up a home or small office network” option in the Control Panel. The wizard is fairly starightforward, so just follow it through on both computers.

If everything is already set up, you just need go to “My Network Places/Entire Network” Find the computer that has the printer on it, and double click on it. Find your printer, and right click. In the drop down list, press, “Set as default printer” and you’re done!

  • there is no way to print wirelessly. Your PC must have some connection to a printer, or else it will not recognize any printer
  • usually you just go to control panel and click on printer and make sure u install the cd

    - hope this helps!

Canon Printer Tips – How do I set the margins for printing from a webpage on my printer? or is this a must thing to do for me?

November 29th, 2009 No comments

Please help: I have had this problem from day 1, where I want to print a page from a website and that it cuts off a few words from the “FAR RIGHT” in every sentence.

What are my options with this issue? Good or bad points by using one or more of these options?

I don’t want to have to set it where the page is set as Horizontal wise!

I own a Cannon Multipass F30
Windows XP (SP2) Home Edition
Internet Explorer 6
You will get my vote if you take the time on answering this with knowledge!

Best Answer: You go to File >> Page Setup.
There, on the lower right hand corner is the margins section.

Hope I helped!
