Canon Printer Tips – How do i put the paper in my printer?

February 9th, 2010 No comments

i have a cannon pixma ip1900 and i don’t know ware the paper goes

Best Answer: It should come with a manual but
No this there is no ip 1900. Chances are you meant 1600 or ip 90. The page to goto to really get the answers is:
But If I had to guess somewhere on the top cover should be a slot. There probably is or should be a stand that clicks into the top of the printer case so the paper leans against it and slides down into the printer.

Take a look at the 1600 instead of 1900 but make sure you have the right model #.

hope that helps

  • Right down the back of the printer. You might have to take off stickers to lift up the back support for the paper and load it down.

Canon Printer Tips – Laptop Info.?

February 8th, 2010 No comments

I am wanting to buy a new laptop, but I dont know what is considered good. I am willing to spend up to about $1200. I will be using it for school, music, internet, and movies. I have been looking at the Toshiba Satellite A205-S5855 and the HP Pavillion DV9810US. What is the difference between AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core and Intel Core 2 duo processor? Also, has the quality HP’s improved? I had an old HP and the backlight went out. Later on I found out that was common with HP’s. Please help me in deciding what is good. One last thing, what is a good laser printer too? From what I hear Cannon is the best.

Best Answer: I recommend going with the Core 2 Duo over any of AMD’s mobile processing chips. They are just that much better. 1200 dollars can get you a lot out of a laptop now-a-days. Aim for a Core 2 Duo that is either 5xxx or 7xxx (ex 5450 or 7100). The 2xxx is too old and I don’t think you can get the 8xxx or 9xxx for that price. Try to get something with AT LEAST 2 GB of RAM. Also, you might be able to get a dedicated graphics card, if that’s your thing too. It’ll allow you to utilize all your RAM for memory tasks, rather than allocating some of it to run your graphics. I hope this helps you out. You seem to want a PC, so that’s why I did not recommend a mac. It’s all about preferences.

  • if you are willing to spend that much, but a macboob pro.
    by apple.
    they are amazing.
also if you are a college student you can get the price to 899.

Canon Printer Tips – How to set up a Printer on a Network without plugging it into a computer?

    January 12th, 2010 No comments

Hey i need to be able to print from computers on the network but most of the time our only desktop is turned of because everyone in the family has our own laptops so is there any way to be able to connect the printer to the router and be able to print from any computer? I have a D-Link DI-524UP router and it has a USB port in it. We have a Cannon LBP-810 printer and that has the big chunky old cable as well as the slave cable usb thingy but no network cable and was wondering if i could use it to print connected to the network insted of a computer with it

Best Answer: If the router is made to except usb connections then it should work. If not you need to purchase a usb printer server for the printer. It’s a little pricey and you may just want to connect it directly to the computer instead.

    • You can only use a network cable if you want to connect strait to the router, adn then you would need to configure it to be part of the netowrk.

You can’t get cable to make it a network adpater i dont think, because if the printer has a network card, it has something called MAC address, which lets the IP address become it’s own. If it hasnt got that, then it cant become a network. It’s a same as a computer

The other way, which is to plug it to the computer, on the network, if it hasnt got the network card then run through that computer.

I realise you dont want to do that, so u would have to buy a printer that has got a network adapter.

I am looking for a good all in one printer and I have a mac book pro. I wanted to get the cannon 610 but its not compatible with a mac so Im wonder ing is the canon Pixma MP530. Also I want really great photo quality and and all in one printer do you recomend any thing better thats compatible with a mac could be any brand. Thank you

Best Answer: you should check the manufaturer website for software availbale for MAC OS X.if it has the that device is compatible with your Mac book.but macs are very intelligent and they have generic drivers for various external hardware and even if the manufacturer does’t support mac for its devices the OS X will in most cases.(i love this apect of the MAC, it makes them far superior)
